FullyEquipped is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Akron, OH. We partner with underfunded local schools to equip kids for school, sports, and life. Through our Team Up Program and our Equip Every Kid Program, FullyEquipped seeks to encourage and increase student-athlete participation in underfunded local schools.
High school and elementary student-athlete participation is often hindered in many lower income communities due to inadequate resources, lack of funding, and disbelief in the value add of sports.
Decades of research show that athletic involvement can lead to greater personal development, improved academic performance, and break the cycle of poverty.
By providing the means for athletic participation including necessary equipment, adequate facility conditions, proper nutrition, school supplies, and more, we hope to give young men and women the opportunity to reap the rewards of athletic participation.
Helped facilitate starting the Children’s Hunger Alliance program at several schools resulting in thousands of after school meals being provided to students.
Provided high quality speakers and influences for to talk with the students including doctors, former NFL players, mayors, police officers, lawyers, business owners, principals, athletic directors, and more.
In addition, we’ve been able to provide a lot of physical needs including:
Thousands of pieces of athletic equipment including: cleats, backpacks, gym bags, and much more.
Hundreds of snack bags.
Thousands of granola and protein bars.
Hundreds of cases of water and Gatorade.
Hundreds of towels, bottles of shampoo, deodorant, and self-care products
