Multi-School Event: Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan

On Monday night, we hosted our 1st multi-school event for the student-athletes of East, Kenmore-Garfield, and North High Schools. Thank you everyone who helped make the night possible!

In addition to the provided meal and some fun activities, we were extremely grateful to have had acting Akron Mayor, Dan Horrigan, as our keynote speaker for the evening!

Mayor Horrigan wanted the students-athletes to know that they can do anything they put their mind to. He emphasized that they are the future and reminded them not to let others define what they are capable of.

Lastly, Mayor Horrigan wanted the students to know that he was there for them. He wants to invest in them and see them succeed. He takes great pride in serving the community in grew up in and wants nothing more than to help Akron.

Thank you, Mayor Horrigan, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your wisdom and invest in Akron’s youth!

Thank you East high school for hosting us! Thank you to all the coaches, faculty, and staff from East, Kenmore-Garfield and North for making the night possible. Thank you Regina’s Pizza, Devitis Italian Market, and Dontino’s for donating pizza, subs, and pasta for the evening. We’re looking forward to continue working in the APS community for many years to come!
