Tonight we were very fortunate and thankful to have Akron North alum and current Akron North High School Principal, Kim Sabetta, speak to the football team.
As Principal Sabetta began to speak, she started to pass out dry erase markers. She told the players to write down accomplishments they have achieved so far this season, no matter how small or broad. Some of the accomplishments listed by the players include: learning to persevere, being coachable, never giving up and learning teamwork through cooperation.
As football nears the end of the regular season, Principal Sabetta reiterated to the players how proud she was of their accomplishments, the commitment they have made all season and the hard work they have put in. Principal Sabetta left us with two simple reminders and notes of encouragement: dream big and never give up.
Thank you so much, Principal Sabetta, for taking the time after your busy school day to encourage, teach and impart wisdom to these young men.
